Baljit graduated from India with Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1998. In 2001, he completed his Masters in Dental Surgery, a specialist training in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics in India. He is a skilled practitioner and has more than 10 years of experience as a General Dentist and Endodontist (Root Canal Specialist) in India. In these ten years, he also worked as a part-time teacher in his specialty at different designations (lecturer/reader/professor) in several dental schools in India. In 2009, Baljit moved to New Zealand to complete the Bridging course in Dentistry from the Dental School in Dunedin, Otago. He gained registration as a General Dentist in New Zealand in November 2011 and has worked here since 2012. Baljit’s approach to the profession of dentistry is people-focused. He is a practitioner who values building long-standing professional relationships with his patients and focuses on their ongoing dental and oral health. So you can rest assured that you will be greeted by a friendly smile and a warm hand-shake when you walk in to meet him. He is very passionate about his profession and his scope of work is extensive, which ensures that you receive the best advice with regards to your dental health. By designing treatment plans to suit individual needs, he is able to address a wide range of dental problems. Above all, his priority is to provide the most advanced dental care in a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. Baljit is also a keen learner and regularly attends professional development courses and conferences to keep himself up-to-date with the latest developments in the ever-evolving field of dentistry. Outside of his work, Baljit likes to spend his time playing badminton and travelling to a various destination within and outside New Zealand. He is always up for a friendly conversation and enjoys the opportunity to help others.

Ken graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1989. In 1997, he got his Diploma in General Dental Practice (Royal College of London), and then completed his MSc degree (King’s College London) in 2007. Ken worked in the Hong Kong Government Dental Department as a dentist from 1990 to 2003, and then in 2004, Ken moved with his wife Ann and daughter Lara to New Zealand, where he started practicing in various private/public dental clinics, before he set up his own dental clinic at Ormiston in 2009. Ken is now semi-retired and prefers to work less than 10 hours per week. Ken is very fluent in Chinese languages (Cantonese and Mandarin) and welcomes the huge Chinese community in Manukau and Franklin. Ken likes to go swimming at beaches, walking in parks and browsing the internet in his leisure time.

Oral Health Therapist/Hygienist

 

Aman graduated from AUT with a Bachelor of Health Science in Oral Health. She practised as a dentist in India for 4 years, then moved to New Zealand 8 years ago to start her new journey as an oral health professional.
Aman is strongly committed to delivering oral health care to a very high standard with compassion and care. She enjoys working with patients to improve their oral and general health by providing a comfortable environment. She aims to provide a pleasant and positive experience as possible for every individual through an empathetic approach.
She continues her professional development and stays updated by regularly attending courses and is a member of the NZ Dental & Oral Health Therapists Association.
Outside of work, Aman enjoys travelling, shopping, volunteering for organisations, spending time with friends and family and trying new eateries.

Practice Manager/Receptionist

 

Sheena Rana is the Practice Manager at the ToothCare Pukekohe. She is also hands on with assisting and reception duties. She has a dental background and loves to working in this field.
Her main goals including great customer service and trying to help everyone walking through the door to have a pleasant experience and leave the practice happy.
Outside work, she loves spending time with family and loves long walks and swimming.

Dental Assistant/ Receptionist

 

I was born and raised here in Pukekohe. I am new to the dental industry and has worked as a dental assistant for the past 1year here at Toothcare. I enjoys getting to meet patients and getting to know them. I like to know my patients and make them feel welcomed and comfortable while here for treatment. In my spare time I enjoys going to the beach and having quality time with my family and friends.

Dental Assistant/ Receptionist

 

Lara has been a part-time dental assistant since 2018, gaining experience in clinics all over Auckland since and is currently working towards a Bachelor of Architectural Studies at the University of Auckland. Born in Hong Kong and raised in New Zealand, Lara speaks fluent English and a conversational level of Cantonese. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the gym, playing badminton, watching TV shows and dining out.

Dental Assistant

Ann is a very experienced DA and receptionist for over 30 years and is also fluent in Chinese languages. In her leisure time, she likes doing gardening and cooking.
